In 2002 we moved to China to serve the Noso people. Over the years we implemented dozens of development projects focused on helping the Nosu farmers escape the cycle of poverty. Political conditions in China continue to change making our work there harder and harder to maintain. Most recently, we were unable to renew our formal NGO registration, effectively ending most of the work. Thankfully, through the many relationships we’ve developed over the years, some of the work continues without our direct input. These are the kind of sustainable results we’ve worked for all these years. Our organization has shifted to a more formal Transformational Community Development approach to serving the unseen in some of the more inaccessible areas of the world. They’ve asked me to apply my experience to the entire organization. I’ve been involved in leadership training with the goal of helping develop the other workers in our organization to be more effective and impactful in their work.
